Class meets for (1) Tuesday: 11/27: Please make sure when you register your student that you are putting theiri name in as person who is attending this class and not your name. $52 ($47 senior rate-55 and older) Remember to bring your permit; your MV278 certificate cannot be completed without it. *Please Note: Courtesy reminders with be emailed at least 3 days prior to start of class; please make sure you enter a valid email address upon registering if you want a reminder. To obtain a NYS Operators License you must complete the mandatory 5-hour course. Topics include: drug and alcohol abuse, defensive driving techniques, and appropriate driving protocol. Persons who qualify for this class are first-time applicants, and those who have allowed their license to lapse and need to reapply. This course does not fulfill requirements to reduce insurance rates. Attendance for five hours is required to obtain certificate of completion or MV278.
*Please Note: If you are completing the online registration process for your child, make that you are registering with your son's or daughter's name. Please do not enter your name when registering!
Due to Covid Restrictions, this 5-hour class is being offered online via Zoom by Suburban Driving. Please make sure that when you begin the registration process that you provide a valid email address that you want us to use as communication. Whether it be the parent's, guardian's or student's email address provided, information and updates should be shared with the registering student. The Zoom log-in (Meeting #) number and password will be emailed to the email address that you provided when registering, within a few days prior to the start of class. This information should not be shared with anyone else besides the registering student!
You do not need a link to access the class. Parents and guardians - your son or daughter will understand this!
1. Download Zoom.
2. Open zoom.
3. Be sure that the student is signed in and not another person/parent
4. Enter the meeting number.
5. Enter the password.
6. Check that audio and video work
7. Wait for the instructor to start meeting.
The MV278 Certificates can be picked up at WEBSTER SCHRODER HIGH SCHOOL outside in the first parking lot and first side- entrance door. Visitors are not permitted into the building! Once the certficates are given to us by the instructor, we will email you a date and time that you can pick them up.
